iCLASS Card Programmer Quick Start Guide – 3150-902

Minimum System Requirements

The system requirements for the iCLASS Card Programmer outline what is required of a system

prior to installing the application.

300 MHz or higher Pentium-compatible CPU

Serial port (COM1 - COM4)

Computer/Processor

USB port

128 megabytes (MB) of RAM or higher. Memory

256 MB of RAM recommended.

Hard Disk 100 MB free space.

CD-ROM drive Drive

3 ½ Floppy drive

Display VGA or higher resolution monitor

Operating System Windows 2000 or higher

Latest Operating System service pack

MS Office 2002 or higher (with latest service pack)

Internet Explorer 6 or higher (Internet connection is recommended for

updates)

MDAC components (v.2.7 is provided with iCLASS setup)

Software Environment

.NET Framework (v.1.0 .NET Framework is provided with iCLASS setup)

User Permissions

Local machine administrative rights for iCLASS installation and secure

database administration

Inkjet or Laser printer for Card Labels Printers (Optional)

Windows compatible PVC Card Printer for direct card printing

1 Getting Started

This section provides basic installation, and usage information.

Note: You must have Administrator privileges to complete the following Installation, and Start-up

procedures.

1.1 Hardware Setup

1. Ensure you have all the listed items in the Kit Contains section.

2. Your PC should be powered off.

3. Connect the iCLASS Card Programmer (CP400) using a serial cable to a COM port on the

PC.

4. Connect the iCLASS Card Programmer (CP575) using a USB cable to a USB port on the PC.
